Are you ready to explore the wild and beautiful hidden corners of Scotland?

The Cape Wrath Ultra® is an 8-day expedition race that runs 400km through the stunning northern Highlands of Scotland. One of the longest, toughest and most iconic ultra-races in the world, this extraordinary journey will take you to a memorable finish line at Cape Wrath, the most north-westerly point of the British Isles.

Entries will be limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. After the massive success of the 2018 event we anticipate that the 2020 edition will sell out.

Key Dates

The race dates will be Sunday 24th May to Sunday 31st May 2020 and participants will need to be in Fort William on Saturday 23rd and will not be returning until Monday 1st June.

The Route

Starting in Fort William, the race will take you northwards through incredible scenery and areas of remote wilderness. Experience the very best Scotland has to offer as you pass through the inspirational landscapes of Knoydart, Kintail, Torridon, Fisherfield, and Assynt. Enjoy the moment as you finally arrive at the spectacular Cape Wrath.

The Organisation

During the 8 days of racing you will be fully supported by the professional team at Ourea Events, and their famously friendly and supportive volunteer team. Satellite tracking will allow friends and family to follow your journey in real time. They will also be able to send you messages of support through Ultra Mail™. You will be well looked after by the catering team with unlimited breakfast, snacks and dinner each day, and a bespoke Harvey map of the race route will be supplied to guide you along your way. An exclusive finishers’ memento will be waiting for all who complete the full course on time!
